How do you like your beef? Well, this month six Canadian food bloggers are taking up the challenge and creating an exciting menu for the February Kitchen Play Progressive Party series to show us how they like their Canadian Beef.
Each month Kitchen Play hosts a unique Progressive Party with six talented food bloggers assigned one of the following courses: cocktail, amuse bouche, salad, appetizer/soup, entrée (main course) and dessert – in Canadian Beef’s case, we made this a video wild card post.
All six bloggers were challenged to incorporate Canadian beef into six wildly different courses, with only one rule – they must use Canadian Beef. The six menu items created look SO tasty, I can’t wait to try them all!
Check out each of these creative dishes, you’ll be inspired! I know I am.
Amuse Bouche: One bite steak with a frite and shallot jam
Cocktail: Moogarita
Salad: Black & Blue Salad
Appetizer: Thai-Inspired Beef and Vegetable Soup with Rice Noodles
Entree: Chili con Coco Loco
Wild Card Video post: A Trio of Beef Appetizers including;
Seared beef carpaccio with fennel parmigiana truffle-oil
Rib-eye steak with apple slaw and spicy honey balsamic drizzle
Sherried beef shank on herbed polenta with roasted tomatoes and mascarpone cream
Are you a food blogger interested in trying one or more these great recipes and joining in on the fun?
Each course of the Progressive Party offers a contest for interested food bloggers beyond the original to try one or more of the six original recipes at home. One blogger in each category will be randomly selected from all entries for that course to receive a prize of $100. Details are here.
So, which one is your favourite? Are you inspired to try something new?
Full disclosure:
Participating bloggers were compensated for their work creating the original recipes. Canadian Beef compensated each blogger for the cost of the Canadian beef product, up to $100.
Thank you for the opportunity to work with an outstanding product. What a menu, huh?
Amazing menu! I am drooling over all the posts…is it lunch time yet?! Thanks for the great amuse bouche Mardi!
